Please read The Golden Rule. This subreddit is dedicated to helping people get out of debt by using the simple principles taught by Dave Ramsey. Some of us are die-hard DR fans and others are not. We all agree on one thing though: Dave Ramsey has a daily radio broadcast across the nation that is quite entertaining and educational. If you can't get to the broadcast you download the daily podcasts for free from iTunes , Google Play , and the Microsoft Store among other places.

You can also catch their show live on the web or via their YouTube channel. Both excellent subreddits to help you gain better control of your personal finances and get out of debt.

We just tend to be a little more passionate and Gazelle intense in getting out of debt than some of the other subreddits. FPU stands for Financial Peace University. A 9-week in-person or online course that comprises of videos and group discussions. It's a phenomenal program and highly recommended by all us here if you are serious about getting out of debt and learning more about the Baby Steps. Classes are held all year long all over the US. I don't know how many of you also participate in the TMMO forums, but they seem to be experiencing technical difficulties. Last night a lot of the avatars disappeared and then the forums went poof. These are still down and have been all week. The site's up - at least, I can access Gazelle Budget - but the forums are still MIA. I just got an email saying the forums will be shut down permanently because of a security issue: Really sad, I went there every day pretty much and those challenges kept me motivated..

Bullied out of Dave Ramsey Forum

It is so disappointing that the forums ended this way, with no chance to say thanks or goodbye to the community. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the new forum!

Over the past decade we have seen millions of posts and thousands of users in the MyTMMO forums. These forums were built by a company called FuseTalk. About a week ago, we discovered some technical security issues with FuseTalk software and, out of an abundance of caution, decided to take down the forums until we could assess.

We have now finished our assessment and have made a business decision not to restore the MyTMMO forum functionality. We recognize that many of you used the forums on a daily basis and are as sad as we are to see them retired. We did make every effort to find a way to keep them but the reality is the forum's software is significantly dated and does not meet our standards for continued use.

When we first built MyTMMO, there weren't many options for online communities. Today, thankfully, there are many more options available!

The BS6 payoff threads were really motivating as were the yearly threads when we were in BS2.
