A fast processor is good. Running CCleaner is great. I run it roughly three to four times throughout gaming, and again before I shut down. I have two friends who had to quit playing FV2 because they couldn't afford a higher speed connection and the game has so much in it now that low speed connections just can't cope. You can check your download and upload speed very easily. Just type in "Internet speed test" in your browser line and run the test. I also agree with razonn about the processor. But I don't agree there is any single key to a faster game here.

A good amount of memory, on top of a good strong processor at least dual core and quad core preferred , as well as a stable internet connection not necessarily a high speed one will make all the difference. My suggestions besides buying a new computer would not even include clearing cache for faster loading. When you clear cache, you're only requiring your game to download all that information again - making it load even slower.

The only time you should clear cache is when you have an actual graphics bug like Just kidding, but any animations that behave bizarrely, or any of the graphics glitches shown in the "what weird thing happened on your farm today" can usually be fixed with a cache clear. The rest are downloaded into memory while the game is running, and they remain there until you close the game, and then get cleared when you close it.

Better suggestions are to check your Task Manager for anything running in the background that might be eating up memory or hard disk. If you find something and you're not sure what it is, google it before you close it. Reboot your router regularly.

Depending on how many signals are in your area usually you can figure this out by how many close neighbors you have x5, or you can download a wifi app to view local connections and their strengths this could be once a week to once a month.

All of those devices out there are routinely pinging your router to see if it can connect. Even if you are password protected, your router still has to work to process the request and issue the denial. Rebooting the router will purge that information. Sort of like clearing cache. This will purge a lot of background information and processes that have become slow over time. Everything degrades over time. The bigger your farm gets, the more lag you will experience.

Someone can usually help. Why Players have to check all of that, it's game developer's responsibility to make sure their game is running well on their standard requirement. Their brilliant programmers surely know how to do that. Don't they realize that they will raise more money if this issue resolved? I had that lag a few weeks ago. They , Zynga, are doing a lot of things, so it could be that they are partly to blame. What browser do you use? I changed to firefox, and it works a lot better than most browsers.

Open your browsers developer tools, flip over to Network and watch your game download all those little files and scripts, and you'll have a new appreciation for how hard it works to load this game. Then head to ookla and speed test your internet and you can have your mom test hers, too.

Keep in mind wifi is going to be slower than a hardline connection and someone who is directly connected to a modem with no router at all, will be even faster.

I've personally had zero lag. I use a PC with Win10 and Chrome.

There are things in the game that will increase your lag, simply because they download a lot of information into your memory when you do them.

I also noticed that while Farmville 2 is eating up my memory, my browser is as well. Refreshing Farmville 2 will clear up a lot of that excess information, but it doesn't do anything for the browser itself. So to help free up memory, I no longer refresh my game. I close the browser entirely, give memory a few minutes to clear itself out, then reload the farm from a shortcut on my desktop.

I don't think people realize how long they are actually on the farm and all that they do before the lag hits.

I purposely time it still. Every time I load the farm, I make a note of the time, and almost every time I begin to feel the lag is unbearable, exactly 1 hour has passed. Memory is not the key here. What you need is a fast processor. I have no problem with lag. My processor is Intel R core TM 2 duo CPU E 3. A 64 bit processing system, x based Processor.

How fast your Internet is, is also key here. The faster the Internet, the faster your computer, provided you have the necessary speed for these games. When I was having problems with the game, I told my son, who is a tech and he suggested I buy a faster computer and steered me to a good rebuilt that wasn't very expensive. I know it may sound silly to buy a computer just for these games, but this is my entertainment as I'm not in the best of health.

I just recently stumbled on the browser Cyberfox I was searching on why the newest version of Firefox was so laggy, not just with FV2 but just in general. I was having lots of hestiation while browsing, driving me nuts. Someone said they were using Cyberfox based on FF and it was better and faster. Installed it and it really is a better browser. And it plays FV2! Thought I'd share as I had never heard of it before and it may solve some of the issues some you all are having.
